Born Greece 1951. Arrived in Australia 1955. Taken to Migrant Reception Centre at Bonegilla. Escaped 3 months later. Raised: Fitzroy! Sly grog gambling joints. Work as a Survey Draughtsman in the Titles Office and has done so for 34 years. Began writing poetry after seeing Johnny Cash on Tv trying to read a poem. Thought he could do better. Did. Edited "Fitzrot" magazine. Co-edited "925" magazine [worker’s magazine "for the workers by the workers to the workers about the workers work"]. Help inaugurate the POETS UNION and the advent of Performance Poetry in Australia. Is a practising Anarchist. Has been described as an oral-literate amongst other things. Did a 16 city tour of the USA in 1985.

Edited "Off The Record" [an anthology of performance and visual poetry in Australia] with Penguin Books in 1985. Co-edited "Missing Forms" [an anthology of visual and concrete poetries in Australia in 1980]. Co-wrote and performed in a play at the Sydney Wharf called "Call It Poetry Tonight" 1990. Represented Australia at the International Poetry Festival in Medellin Colombia 1998 and in 2003 the Berlin(Veltklang)Arts Festival . Has appeared on ABC Tv and SBS a number of times. Did 2 documentaries on ABC Radio National in 1980 about the Migrant Riots at Bonegilla (in 1952 and 1961). Has just completed a biography of the Australian Dadaist poet Jas H. Duke called Poems of Life & Death. Other books of poetry include: Panash, The Fuck Poems, 24 Hours, The Fitzroy Poems, and The Number Poems.
