Tim Black

Tim Black is a director of Black Kosloff Knott - BKK Architects, an award winning, design-based practice established in Melbourne, 2000 with partners Julian Kosloff and Simon Knott. The practice and its directors are actively involved in the local culture of design through contributions to publications, lectures, and exhibitions. BKK recently participated in the Beijing Biennale representing Melbourne as one of 10 international "hot spots" in design.

The firm’s work has been widely published both locally and internationally, including Architectural Review UK, Wallpaper*, Monument, Architecture Australia, Artichoke, AR, Inside and The Australian Financial Review. BKK has been recognised by a range of awards from the Royal Australian Institute of Architects, Interior Design Awards Australia, and Australian Timber Design Awards amongst others.

Outside of practice Tim has taught design and technical subjects at
RMIT University and has recently been appointed to the State Council of the RAIA.
