Philip Adams

Phillip Adams is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts. After graduation, Phillip lived in New York for a decade where he worked with numerous dance artists including Bebe Miller, Sara Rudner, Nina Weiner, Donna Uchizono, Irene Hultman, Dennis OÕConnor and Amanda MillersÕ Pretty Ugly Dance Co. As a choreographer, Phillip debuted his work in New York City at performance venues including Danspace at St MarkÕs Church, and Judson Church.

Since 1997, Phillip has undertaken choreographic commissions for a number of contemporary Australian companies and dance courses including Chunky Move, the VCA, WAPPA, TasDance, Sydney Gay and  Lesbian Mardi Gras, Danceworks, One Extra Co., Link, and Vis a Vis Dance (Canberra).ÊPhillipÕs international commissions include works for the Rotterdam Ballet and the Goungdong Modern Dance Company (China). He is currently working on a new collaboration between BalletLab and City Contemporary Dance Company in Hong Kong.
